When asked, Pierre has a long list of goals and how to achieve them. The first being recruiting assistant coaches and team managers to help out our hardworking main coaches for each age group. As he says, "assistants are the key to ensuring our coaches can focus on coaching, and to grow the next generation of coaches." Being an assistant coach requires no coaching experience, just a willingness to show up to 50% (or more!) trainings. Come to trainings and follow what the main coach is doing, that is enough.

 

Team managers further help with off-pitch duties like communication with parents, reminders about games, getting attendance, and other logistical activities. Parents can offer the most help right now by becoming a team manager for their child's age group. Team mangers help only when they can be there, it's easy to help just by showing up at training. We want to get parents involved in other ways as well. We are working on more social activities for the whole Warriors family. We can't say much yet, but right now there is an event codenamed "Rush." Not only that, we have also increased the number of camps to three for Juniors this year! We have had parents as active participants in the past. If this sounds like fun, reach out!

 

With the right support, we are hoping to grow the Junior Academy from the 42 juniors we had signed up in Devember of 2023, to 57 juniors by December of 2024. Ambitious but doable with your help! The Academy started out in 2021 with only one age group, U17. Now, in 2024 we have 5 age groups with the largest Junior Rugby membership in Finland!
