2. What do I need to bring?

At first, all you need is an open mind and a get-stuck-in attitude!
In the beginning, you won't need a mouthguard – but rugby is a contact sport so you will eventually need one once you learn how to tackle!
Otherwise, bring football/rugby boots or sneakers, a water bottle, and clothes that won't tear easily or which you don't mind if they do tear.

3. Games

To play games in a WRC shirt, you need to:
  • Pay the club membership fee (will be sent by invoice to the email in your profile)
  • Get insurance covering rugby (either the option offered by the federation or a personal one)
  • Get a license from the Finnish Rugby Federation (https://finland.rugby/license-and-insurance/)
  • Complete the Rugby Ready online test: https://rugbyready.worldrugby.org/ and send the Rugby Ready certificate to warriors@finland.rugby
  • Optional: Complete the Rugby Laws online test: https://www.world.rugby/the-game/laws/home
The club provides rugby jerseys, shorts, and socks for games. The player is responsible for their boots, which need to be suitable for rugby (either plastic-studded football/rugby boots or metal-studded football/rugby boots) and a mouthguard.
WRC plays its home games at Myllypuro grass field 1 (Myllytontunpolku 1, 00920 Helsinki). For away games, we travel by bus or our own cars if the journey is not too long.

4. Expenses

Club membership fees are decided by the board each year. The club has different membership types:
Playing members - 240 €, discounted to 170 € for students and unemployed
Training members - 100 €
Social members - 40 €
Lifetime members - 0 € (honorary position in the club)
The selected form doesn't exist anymore.
